Overcoming barriers and diluting boundaries.

The project of this house is presented with a very clear premise: in front of the plot there is a residential building that acts as a visual barrier to the views, in this case Benidorm and the sea. Therefore the first gesture of the house is to make a small turn in relation to the front of the plot, trying to save that barrier.

On the other hand, two of the clients' wishes led to a dissolution of limits: first, they wanted to escape from the orthogonal aesthetics, from the "boxy" image of other modern houses in their surroundings. The other desire was marked by the type of pool they wanted, a pool that alluded to a more natural image, to the idea of the beach, where the boundary with the water is more diffuse.

By practicing the above mentioned twist, the floor plan of the house is completely orthogonal, since it is also the best way for this twist to be more evident, and it was intended precisely that, that the gesture was fully marked. On the other hand, that will of the clients to avoid the image of boxes, forced, and helped us, to follow the line, or rather, the diffusion of the lines that raised the idea of pool-beach that they wanted. In this aspect, a series of pergolas appear, both on the first floor and on the first floor, which form a game of incoming, outgoing, lights and shadows that result in a complete dissolution of the idea of box and provide a very unique image to the whole.
