The sign of the gesture.
The first meeting with the clients was in the same site. There, they indicated to us with gestures where they wanted to direct their views, since from the front they have a magnificent view of the town and the port, while on the left side they can fully enjoy the sea. Between the two arrangements, there is a neighboring building that prevents the aforementioned points from being seen.
We then decided to incorporate these gestures, these indications, to the very language of construction: that is when the idea arises that the constructive elements exercise the function of visual indicators, since with a triangular shape they seek to indicate the points where the eyes should be directed. In this way, a pergola with this shape, located over the kitchen, invites us to look towards the sea, while the terrace of the living-dining-kitchen area points towards the port and the town. With this, it is also achieved that the indicator elements do not coincide neither in plan nor in height, thus providing the whole with an interesting dynamism, since it also works with a soft language, avoiding triangular meetings at one point, helping the overall fluidity in the aesthetics of the house.
